For everybody who thinks dishes have recipes I strongly disagree! Something like this coming from a professional chef is as absurd as doctors saying medicines don't cure illnesses. Stating both sides of the story I'll come back to my side with food, recipes surely help, But the love that goes with the recipes brings the dish. One of such dishes that we absolutely adore is the Butter Chicken. For our team at Bigbellytheorycooks Butter chicken isn't just a dish, it’s an emotion and we try to make sure all of our customers get to know about the same by tasting the dish. I still remember the first time I made this dish and it was nothing like what we have today. The recipe hasn't changed a lot, it is almost the same but the way has changed, experience has played but the one thing that has remained constant is our Love in preparing Butter Chicken!

Penning down the recipe of the first butter chicken that I've ever made! Hoping somebody makes this and will come to Sophia Katharina or DMing us @Bigbellytheory / @Bigbellytheorycooks and be like it was 90% there but needed a final touch with.

I feel very heavy writing this, I always wanted to write my thoughts about the dish & around but never really had the courage to do so. Sophia's initiative helped me cross a river here! Hoping I might help somebody here too!

The recipe

Base

Butter

Onions

Tomatoes

Cashew Nuts

Red chilli dried whole

Black peppercorns

For the marination

Chicken

Red chilli powder

lemon juice

salt

pepper

yoghurt

Garam masala

Cook all the ingredients for the base separately until completely mushy, Blend it into a fine paste.

Marinate the chicken with everything and later grill it over live charcoal (preferred)

Finalizing the base into the gravy, Heat the base add butter, cream adjust the seasoning with salt, sugar and pepper. Shred the frilled chicken and add it to the gravy! Voila
